Aesop Nolita

232, Elizabeth Street
In early September 2011, Aesop launches their first standalone store in New York. The pint-sized Nolita store is designed by New York architect Jeremy Barbour, who also created Aesop’s Grand Central Terminal kiosk.Aesop Nolita further explores the construction possibilities of newspaper by using reclaimed copies of the New York Times as a building material, an extension of a design response that acknowledges their respect for the written word and the history of each city with which they engage. And on the walls of the store an homage to the love of cinema will be payed by screening Criterion films.Aesop advocates the use of their range as part of a life that includes good food, plentiful travel and a healthy dose of books.
