Maruyama Nori was founded in 1854 – at the end of the Edo period – in the Nihonbashi district of Tokyo. Their first tea house outside of Japan will open in 2008, in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of Paris. Jugetsu-do Paris has taken the concept of "Chazen Ichimi", providing the customers with flavorful genuine teas as a portal to capturing the spirit of Cha-Zen and Japanese culture, where one can "experience the joy in focusing the 5 senses" surrounded by “a concord of tradition and renewal”.
